Skye - Red and Black Cuillin from Glamaig, with climber

Skye - Glamaig in summer

Both the Red Cuillins and Black Cuillins are seen from the little peak of Glamaig. This photograph was taken from the highest point known as Sgurr Mhairi, named after a girl who died whilst seeking a cow. It is also said that a Gurkha ascended this hill from Sligachan in 37 minutes, but took 38 to descend, possibly as the result of the treacherous scree slopes on the mountain.
