Both the Red Cuillins and Black Cuillins are seen from the little peak of Glamaig. This photograph was taken from the highest point known as Sgurr Mhairi, named after a girl who died whilst seeking a cow. It is also said that a Gurkha ascended this hill from Sligachan in 37 minutes, but took 38 to descend, possibly as the result of the treacherous scree slopes on the mountain. |
