This photograph was taken from the Applecross Peninsula of Wester Ross and looks towards the Red Cuillin of Skye. Applecross is a mountainous area, approached from the south via the "Bealach nam Bo" (The Pass of the Cattle), which, at 2,054 feet, is one of the highest in Scotland.
