Rois-Bheinn lies to the south east of Loch Ailort, rising to just below 3,000 feet, and presenting quite incomparable views of the islands of Rhum, Eigg, Canna, and Muck, with astounding views across the Sound of Sleat to the Isle of Skye. The area had strong Jacobite connections. Near Kinlochmoidart seven beech trees commemorate the "Seven Men of Moidart", who came with Bonnie Prince Charlie from France.
