Loch Craignish

Loch Craignish

Loch Craignish lies on the mid-Argyll coast to the north of Crinan and to the south of Oban.  This area was long a crossroads for prehistoric settlers between Ireland and the Great Glen.  A stone pier on the south of the peninsula was used by drovers from Jura and Knapdale.  Like many other inlets on this part of the Argyll coast, it is used in the present day as a safe anchorage for small craft.
