Loch Sunart separates Ardnamurchan to the north and Morvern to the south. The surrounding area is dominated by Garbh-Bheinn (The Rough Mountain). The Great Gully of Garbh-Bheinn was one of the last great gullies to be climbed in Scotland. The Great Ridge of Garbh-Bheinn is about 1,000 feet in height.
