This photograph of Meall Odhar above Cairnwell was taken from part of the old military road linking Coupar Angus with Braemar, built in the middle of the 18th century by General Caulfeild. Glas Maol at a height of 3,502 feet, lies to the south of Meall Odhar dominating Cairnwell, the highest main road pass of mainland Britain. This photograph was taken above the modern Glen Shee Ski Centre.
