Dundee is Scotland's fourth largest city and in recent years has been extensively rebuilt. Its economy has been traditionally built on "jute, jam and journalism". It has been a Royal Burgh since 1110, and it has a very eventful past in terms of struggles for Scottish independence. This photograph was taken from near Newport-on-Tay and looks towards the city in evening light along the course of the Tay Road Bridge. |
