Loch Lubnaig, situated a few miles west of the Perthshire town of Callander, occasionally presents spectacular atmospheric effects such as shown in this photograph, which looks towards the village of Strathyre. The highest mountain of the Trossachs, Ben Ledi, lying at its southern end, marks the boundary between Highland and Lowland Scotland and the area has its own particular weather patterns.
