St. Andrews

St. Andrews

St. Andrews was once the ecclesiastical centre for Scotland.  It is said that the bones of Saint Andrew were brought here from Greece in 347 AD.  Boasting a university and a wealth of ancient buildings, the town is photographed here from the West Sands, near the Royal and Ancient Club House, the universal home of golf.
