Edinburgh - Old Town from Princes St.

Edinburgh Old Town

Princes Street was named after the sons of George III. This view looking towards the distinctive skyline of the Old Town, was taken from above Princes Street Gardens. The gardens replace the Nor' Loch, drained in 1760. The gardens also house the Scottish-American War Memorial and the famous Floral Clock (1903).
