To the photographer's eye, the Study is the embodiment of east coast Scottish architecture.  Just uphill the 13th Century Abbey houses its choir and central tower, constructed over the pulpitum and rood-screen.  Downhill Culross Palace entrances the eye with painted ceilings and a terraced garden.
