Blackrock Cottage is now used by the Ladies' branch of the Scottish Mountaineering Club, standing beside the old road into Glencoe. The area was well described by Neil Munro in his novel "John Splendid". The mountain in the background is Stob Dearg of the Buachaille Etive Mor, really a ridge of four peaks which ends in one of Scotland's most striking mountains.
