Scone Palace was rebuilt in the 16th century and is now the home of the Earl of Mansfield.  The Palace houses collections of furniture, china and ivories, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens.  Many of the kings of Scotland were crowned here, ending with Charles ll in 1651.  The current castellated structure was built between 1803 and 1808.
