Muthill Old Church stands impressively in the Perthshire village of the same name. The church dates from the 12^th Century, but is built on much older foundations. After the Battle of Sheriffmuir in 1715 the church was burned by retreating Highlanders.The Drummond Earls of Perth instigated its rebuilding. A tower, gabled roof and chancel arch are all that remain of the original church.
