Linlithgow Palace contains some excellent examples of Fourteenth and Fifeteenth Century decorative architecture. After the battle of Flodden in 1513, a bell was tolled for the defeat of the Scots by the English. This bell is contained within the palace. It is said that James IV had a vision of his own death in the South Chapel. |
