Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is situated in Kelvingrove Park.  Opened in 1901, the galleries contain one of the finest municipal art collections in Britain.  Impressionist, post-impressionist and Scottish paintings are displayed alongside the works of French, Dutch and Flemish artists.  The museum covers shipbuilding, engineering, and armoury in its main halls.
