The original tower of Delgatie Castle, standing two miles east of Turriff, dates from the mid-16th century, having been enlarged between 1570-79. Substantial modifications have been made over the years, although the original 16th century interiors within the jamb have been preserved. The first floor contains a ballroom and the Tulip and Painted Rooms on the second and third floors have painted ceilings. |
