Claypotts Castle, standing at Broughty Ferry, to the east of the city of Dundee, is one of the best examples of the Scottish "tower house". It was formerly the home of James Graham of Claverhouse, Viscount Dundee, also known as "Bloody Clavers". The northern tower bears the date 1569, and the southern tower 1588. |
