Formerly known as "Castle Gloom", this magnificent structure stands at the head of Dollar Glen, east of Stirling.  John Knox preached here in 1556, and in 1645 Montrose razed the local countryside, but left Castle Campbell untouched.  The area affords splendid views of the Pentlands beyond Edinburgh.
