Airth Castle

Airth Castle

Airth Castle, Stirlingshire, lying to the south of the Kincardine Bridge, is of 14th century origin, although Wallace is said to have sacked the castle when his uncle was being held by a hundred English.  Part of the older castle still remains (the Wallace Tower) and the building is currently used as a hotel.
