This evening shot of Derwentwater was taken on the eastern shore of this Cumbrian lake near the busy little town of Keswick.  This northwestern corner of England is mountainous, although not so rugged as the Scottish Highlands.  Associations with the Lakeland poet, William Wordsworth, abound in this district.
